The Linux kernel's ACPI/APIC/IO-APIC support appears to be in a
serious state of flux. Unfortunately, I do not think there is any
combination of enabling/disabling these things which will work on all
systems. My instinct is to enable all of them and wait for the Linux
folks to get the kinks out, sending them bug reports when possible.

So, please try disabling ACPI. To do this, hold down the shift key
while the Unattended CD is booting. This will give you a "boot:"
prompt. Type "unattended acpi=off" and press Enter. And let me know
what happens.

        thanks Pat, that solved it
I also learned a couple of thing about linux (I am a newbie)
the scripts has to be executable (dont laugh)

How can I change the default server, user and password?

Thanks!

 - Pat
