Create a clear separation of what's user-modifiable and what's not, to the
point (possibly) of creating two trees in z: -- 'dist' and 'user'.
The tarballs come packed relative to dist, and that's where you're expected
to put them.

On (roughly) this point, would anyone be interested in Debian packages of
Unattended? They probably wouldn't go into the Debian archive proper any
time soon, but it would simplify upgrading for Debian users. Any takers?
