I have a problem that may be similar, but first some comments that may help you...
Assuming you are attempting to logon using the local admin. account, and you have that specified in unattend.txt or one of Unattended's scripts. If you are installing from a share with guest access (which is required) then the local admin account should be suficient. The autologon feature in unattended.txt does not work if the system is joined to a domain, as per Microsoft's documentation. But by default Unatteneded tries to log on using "administrator" and whatever password you give it in unattended.txt. But Unattended doesn't seem to read the name of the administrator account; so if, for instance, if you rename the account "admin" it won't autologon. At least that is my experience. I haven't looked at autolog.pl, but it seems to me that if it could be made to recognize the name of the administrator account you put in unattended.txt then your problem should be solved and you would never have to document a domain admin account in any of the install scripts. Optionally you could use a domain guest account that is given local admin access to the build machine while it is building and get removed when it is done. That would solve your #2 and #3 problems, but I have no idea how you would script that. -- Perfection is just a word I use occasionally with mustard. Hey all, I have yet to get a satisfactory result using autolog.pl for automating logons during the install. I gave up on setting that in the meta section since it seems to get placed last on the todo list, after I dont need it any more. I have been modifying the postinst.bat to get my autologons (i place the autolog command after the rest, so its first on the todo list) - but there are 3 problems with this: 1) i shouldnt have to edit postinst.bat 2) it only works with domain account (because system is joined to domain in unattend.txt) and 3) my domain account password lives in postinst.bat after install. The main hickup seems to be that after joining a domain in unattended.txt, XP will not allow an autologon for a local user, that cancels out any autologon setting in the unattended.txt - figures.... KMFMS NOW! This was the main reason why I started using autolog.pl instead. Is there any certain order that we can specify commands in the meta section... so as to sort them in the postinst.bat?
