I downloaded SP2 final from MSDN. My initial run of Unattended worked fine. I was kind of expecting the machine to explode or at least crash or something, but no.
They renamed the slipstreaming switch from "/s:.." to "/integrate:...". The former still works, though, so our docs are still usable. Interestingly, future hotfixes will also support the /integrate switch. See <http://support.microsoft.com/?id=828930>. Our winxpsp2-updates.bat script was almost correct already. A visit to Windows Update after a clean install offers Windows Journal Viewer, .NET Framework 1.1, and KB831240, all of which we already install. We were also installing DirectX 9.0c, but it is bundled with SP2 final (fixed in CVS). I suspect we will maintain winxpsp1-updates.bat for a while, depending on user and developer interest. I wonder if the Internet will survive this week. - Pat ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by OSTG.
