This isn't directly related to unattended, but it might give some
information about the quality of the Office 2003 installer.

I tried to install Office 2003 from an administrative installation point
and a transforms file. The installation failed iff the machine had ever
had Office 2000 installed, even if it had since been removed using
Add/Remove Programs. None of the logging options in msiexec gives any
insight whatsoever.
