Hi,

This is not really related to unattended directly, but I thought, some of you might have come across this issue using an unattended installation and fixed it.

What I'm trying to do is install network printers for all users using the following commands in my printer-admin.bat script:

todo.pl "start /wait rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /ga /n\"\\linux\Admin Duplex\""

This printer is a network printer on a linux server (using cups) and has the drivers installed on the server with custom preferences configured.

The script printer-admin.bat defined in the "middle" key under the [_meta] section from my unattend.txt file. And is executed during the unattended install by the local administrator.

If after the installation is finished a normal user logs on to the domain, the status of the printer shows: "unable to connect". Printing doesn't work and even right click properties gives an error. I can see the printer by browsing to the printer (typing \\linux\Admin Duplex in the Windows Explorer address bar) as this user.

If I logon as a domain administrator it works fine and after that every normal domain user can print as expected.

Is there any workaround to get the printer working without me as domain admin having to logon first before every normal domain user?

The permissions on the printer is set as normal so the group "everyone" has rights to print.

Thanks,
