Hey All,

I know nothing but I'm at just this point in my deployment process and I thought I would share my current thinking.

My plan is to get unattended up and running and then use filemaker to manage the creation of the 3 unattended files that need to be maintained to manage users and machines on a network.

Admittedly I don't know what I'm doing but it looks to me like one manages an active unattended site by editing the unattended.csv, unattended.txt, and, install.bat.

Locating and creating install scripts for each item to be installed(there must be an extensive collection of these somewhere?)

WPKG looks like some sort of management and xml storage of this data.

One just needs to plan a way to manage those files and wpkg looks like one way.

I'm personally going with filemaker because I'm to fast with it to learn anything new.

hi,
does anyone use WPKG http://wpkg.sourceforge.net and Unattended together to
install and deploy software, would you then share your experience?

yep, I do.

what do you need to know?

So, Tomek does WPKG manage those 3 files?

Someone should fact check this.

Thanks,

Ben
