Hi Everybody & Gerhard

I am using appsonly.bat (a script contributed by Gerhard in this mailing list) to install applications unattended on Windows XP ready machines.

Cannot map the ' install' share after reboot. Even when I do it manually (i.e. netuse Z: \\servername\install abcd /user:alex), I get this error
"System error 1326 has occurred. Logon failure: unknown user name or bad password." message.

There is nothing wrong with the user and password (e.g. user: alex and password 'abcd') .

When I am logged on as another user, I could do "net use Z: \\server\install abcd /user:alex" without problem.
But not when I am logged on as 'alex'. When I am logged on as 'alex', I could map using another user account.
Is this a problem of Windows XP ? Or Windows XP working with Samba share?
Sorry this may not be an 'Unattended' problem, but it is preventing 'Unattended' from working.

Hello Chee,

some questions:
1. do you use most up-to-date version of my script? -> http://www.ubertechnique.com/unattended/appsonly
2. does everything work when installing packages which do not require a reboot?

You may work around the problem by activating the guest account on your unattended server.

Regards
Gerhard
