Hi all, using the linux boot CD, I´m experiencing problems with booting to Allied Telesyn (ATI) 2450 and 2700 network interfaces. Both of them apply the AMD PCnet 79C972 Chip, which the prompt says is being recognized correctly during the startup process. With the ATI 2450, it then says link is up, but no DHCP lease is given to the interface. After some dhcp discover messages, the prompt drops to the shell. With the ATI 2700, which is a 100MBit only card, the prompt says, link 10Mbps half duplex is up. That´s not possible actually. Again, after some dhcp discover messages, the prompt drops to the shell. Checking the debug messages of my dhcp server, nothing appears, as if the ATI NICs haven´t been present in my network at all. Is there anything I have to change in the linuxboot.iso? Any ideas and suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks and regards, Chris |
