[Unattended] DHCP Sis 900 no lease

Hi all, seems like I have all the unwilling NICs here: This time, it´s a SIS900 onboard NIC. I tried to boot using both the linux bootcd and the appropriate dos bootdisk, but the PC won´t get a lease from my dhcp. It tries several times (debug, sending discover) and then always drops to shell. I installed the PC unattended using a 3com NIC then, booted the OS (W2kSP4) and tried to get a lease with the onboard SIS900: Worked perfectly! If there´s anybody having a hint for that issue, I´d really appreciate it.
