Hi
I have the following problem: When i boot a nforce4 chipset machine, the PXE
connects to the tftp server allright, but the Unattended linuxboot does not
have the driver for the NIC and goes like eth1 not found, eth1 not found ...
untill it drops.
How can i update the bootimage to recognise the NIC?
I have gone through the forums but as i'm a noob, could you please post me a
short step-by step of how to add the driver?
I understand i'd have to compile the linuxboot? or shouuld i do st else? And
then how exactly and where should i put the drivers?
The driver is on the linux boot CD. There is a problem with the master
script detecting that there is a nforce networking chipset onboard (it
doesn't identify itself as most netowrk cards do).
The solution is when the script exits, enter in the following commands:
modprobe forcedeth
/etc/master
This will load the nforce driver, and restart the script which will do
everything for you.
