Yes I use barts pe for recovery and manual installs as needed.  I have seen barts pe as the holy grail of live windows use (it works great)

Do you currently use BartPE?

It seems we have to move to some kind of Windows based installation
method to handle Vista and BartPE seems to be the best choice, not
perfect but the best that I can see right now.

I am not Perl expert, but I did find a excellent tutorial on Perl
here...
