the normal behavior of dhcpcd is to not send the hostname if i'm not
mistaking. You should therefore check the /etc/master file in the
linuxboot.iso to see which dhcp client is used and which switches it
uses.

Probably the same problem, open up linuxboot.iso and check if there is
a /dev/tty2
