We just got a new batch of computers that have Intel Pro1000 network cards. These chips appear to be not supported by the Linux boot stuff. I assume this is using an older kernel and Intel have gone with different PCI IDs yet again... If I wanted to compile a newer kernel to try and fix this, is there anything I need to know? Should I try something else instead of recompiling?
