I just tried to create a new linuxboot image from CVS as none of my current
hardware is supported by the kernel 4.6 uses. I checked out a fresh cvs copy,
did a 'make download', then did just 'make', copied the bzImage and initrd
files over top of my old ones in my tftp directory and attempted to do a pxe
boot.
All goes well till it tries to probe hardware and it doesn't find my NIC.
Instead I get "error while loading shared libraries: libz.so.1: cannot open
shared object file: No such file or directory" in multiple places.
I tried to make a symlink to libz.so in linuxaux/lib thinking it would be a
simple fix. But that doesn't seem to fix anything.
