I would personally recommend learning how to use PXELINUX.

Not knowing how to use it was definitely a barrier preventing me from
using Unattended.

Let me suggest a clear, quick and easy HOWTO for using PXELINUX to
boot a KNOPPIX LiveCD:

http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/KNOPPIX_Terminal_Server

I believe that once you figure out how to make it work, configuring
Unattended network booting will be a breeze. I, for one, went exactly
through this process: I figured out how to boot KNOPPIX over the
network. Then I had a good idea of how PXELINUX works in general.
After that, setting up Unattended was just a matter of putting the
right files in the right place, and pointing PXELINUX to them.

If it helps, here is the Unattended section from my
/var/lib/tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default :
...
LABEL unattendedwin
        KERNEL unattended/kernel
        APPEND initrd=unattended/initramfs z_user=guest z_pass=guest
z_path=//10.1.1.1/win-install
...

To install the required files for this config file to work I did:
$ cd /tmp
$ wget
http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/unattended/unattended-4.6-linuxboot.zip?download
$ unzip unattended-4.6-linuxboot.zip
$ mkdir /var/lib/tftpboot/unattended/
$ cp unattended-4.6/linuxboot/tftpboot/bzImage
/var/lib/tftpboot/unattended/kernel
$ cp unattended-4.6/linuxboot/tftpboot/initrd
/var/lib/tftpboot/unattended/initramfs

That is all as far as PXELINUX configuration goes.
