Good thinkin'. What I'm trying to do is build a talking, stand-alone Windows
XP installation CD. I am blind and I use unattended to install Windows XP.
But I have a lot of blind friends who aren't technical enough to set up the
services (samba, dhcp) required to build an unattended server.

I've made a talking DOS 6.2 boot diskette. I was able to run the Windows
Millennium installer from this diskette. But it doesn't work on a modern
system because DOS 6.2 won't recognize the hard drive. I know I can't
install Win XP from DOS anyway. I guess next I'll try making a talking
freedos boot diskette. From there it's a small step to a talking boot CD.

Maybe I can just give my buddies talking boot diskettes. I'd want them to
supply their own Windows installation CDs anyway. They could edit an
unattend.txt file on the diskette, adding their license key, etc, and then
run a BAT with the installation command.

The only reason I'm hesitant to settle for that is that blind people have a
lot of trouble configuring a BIOS. So if the machine isn't set up to boot
from a diskette, they'd be stuck. Of course, if it isn't set up to boot from
a CD or diskette, theyd' be stuck anyway.
