I have tried to get this unattended thing working but to no avail. I get
different error messages at different stages... It obviously works as
I can see others questions are far down the road then I am.... I am
willing to submit a HOW TO once I have a working system for the next
newbies!
Setup:
Windows DHCP (configured and working)
Windows DNS (configured and working)
Redhat TFTP (configured and working)
Windows File share [ntinstall/install] (configured and working)
On my file share I have the unattended-gui /z folder from svn
On my Redhat TFTP I have the various kernel images (0.4.1 and 0.5 with
appropriate menu entries)
Issues:
VMWare Image does not boot with 0.5 - Could not load lib/modules...
Dell/Toshiba laptop does not boot with 0.5 - Could not load
lib/modules...
VMWare Image does not boot with 0.4.1
Dell/Toshiba laptop boots with 0.5 CD but fails to setup share point -
any option kicks me to shell (no /z)
Dell/Toshiba laptop boots with 0.4.1 CD but fails to setup share point -
I can enter options for mounting but then get kicked to shell (No z: no
reason to go on...)
Is there anyone that has made some step by step guides in setting the
unattended up? Would you share them? Can anyone help me with my errors?
