A bunch of new computers (not Dell) we recently purchased won't boot Linux without the "noapic" command line option. Yuck.
While this is not a unattended specific problem (Ubuntu also had the same issue), perhaps some sort of documentation saying how to alter the kernel command line would be useful? In my case I found if I fiddle enough with the left shift key while the kernel is loading, eventually I get the boot prompt. -- Brian May <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Victorian Partnership for Advanced Computing ------------------------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is sponsored by: The Future of Linux Business White Paper from Novell.
