thank you very much, that was it.
newbies like me should not be let out!
but when windows setup starts, I get the following errors
smb_proc_readX_data: offset is larger than SMB_READX_MAX_PAD or negative!
what can I do for that?

label ua47
kernel ua47/bzImage
append initrd=ua47/initrd z_path=//server/install
this is how it looks in my old pxelinux.cfg/default file... (using pxegrub now,
easier to use for the non-techies)
i think you forgot the initrd= before the initrd specification (see modified
version below)

kernel prod.4.7.bzImage
append initrd=prod.4.7.initrd vga=normal z_path=//server/install
z_user=domain\username z_pass=password
prod.4.7.bzImage and prod.4.7.initrd are copied from linuxboot.iso

could you pass on your pxelinux.cfg/default file?
(or the menu.lst file if you use pxegrub)

thank you and sorry
I have always been a bad explainer.
when I say linux disk (or dos disk), I meant that they both
come from PXE/TFTP
and my error result has actually 2 more lines that I forgot

for the CD load, looks like is not able to find the right
modules. Seem
like we need to modify the kernel for your system.
maybe you can try to use the tftp?
