Unfortunattely my installation aborts with the error that it > could not find the "igmedcomkrn.dll" file, which is part of the driver. > I think it`s because the file name is not 8.3 conform. It is. I've had the same problem with a graphics driver for some onboard gfx card on a MSI board.
> Does anybody else have this Problem ? > I just renamed the file to igmedco~.dll and run a test. Yes. I also renamed the file to fit the 8.3 restrictions and modified some other files to point to the renamed file instead of the original one. But for some reason I end up with a totally fucked system because the machine displays everything in a dark blue at some point. Also the screen is completely dissorted and unreadable. This only happens with this one driver so far. Other grahics drivers work just fine. I already tried using the version from the driver cd and the version from the MSI homepage but without much of a change. The board is a MSI K9VGM-V. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this... - jens ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
