Hi, > Also the mysterious bluescreen I reported sometime last week happened on two > other machines after that. The first really had a majorly fucked RAM module, > on the second one memtest only found one error but on the third machine no > errors where found in the ram module. I somehow really doubt that out of 3 > (almost) new machines 3 machines have faulty RAM. > The bluescreen always occurs after Windows Setup is done (after the screen > with the countdown on the left). Never before that. > The error displayed is "STOP 0×0000007e" and some other hex stuff but NO > filename... Great... After a couple of hours investigating all possible causes it appears that the nvidia geforce driver is at fault. I moved it out of the driver directory, everything ok. I moved it back, bluescreen. I replaced it by the newest version, everything ok.
