OK, I've had a go at compiling my own using a guide I found, but it's
failing all over. First I had issues with the "make download" stopping
after every file extracted. Then mysql was 404 (which I fixed by picking
a newer release). But once I got to actually compiling, the kernel
wouldn't compile. Apparently it's because the older kernels don't play
well with gcc-4.3, which is all I have on my laptop.
I've tried picking newer versions of the kernel, but that resulted in it
failing later when it does the glibc part. Same trick there just got me
a different error.

Has anyone at all got these cards working with normal Unattended stuff?
I'm network booting, so I only need the kernel and initrd if someone has
a working one I can try.
