You can also specify the username/password in the kernel command line if
you are using the Linux boot disk. This is obviously easier to do if you
use PXE, but the CDs can be modified too.
The obvious downside here is it's stored in plain text in a file people
can get to... You have to wiegh up the benefit of storing it over the
risk of people getting things they shouldn't.
