Hi all,
I would like to be able to perform the unattended setup across
different subnets.
To do this, I believe the machine that needs to be setup firstly needs
to boot up via a bootdisk.
Here is where I need some advice. At this point, can we assign a dummy
IP and have it mount to the samba share on the unattended server
somehow or serve the files via a different method e.g. http? or do I
definitely need to have a valid IP for the unattended installation?
Any assistance or help is much appreciated.
Thanks,
George
Hello George,
You can use a dhcp relay to have the machine served with a proper dhcp
ip address and the respective bootp and wins directives.
