thank you for the clarification, I hope for a future update in RHEL
repository and later in EPEL.




Anyway, are somewhere required steps to upgrade actual running 1.6.6-1.el7
to the latest version via RPM? It seems to be the same for RHEL, Unbound 
package is old and the newest package is not in the repository, then how to
proceed with an update?

Speaking with my Red Hat on,

The version in EPEL is not allowed to be newer that the version in RHEL. 
This means that it will never follow upstream releases too closely. But 
right now it is very very old.

I am trying to get the RHEL version to be updated more frequently. The
way people can help is by filing customer/rhbz tickets with the features 
and bugfixes that they want but are missing in RHEL.
