The one fabulous thing about my career so far: In 37 years, I have never had
to "give" grades!! It hasn't been without struggle and pain, but not as much
pain as grading.
Exactly. I wonder why we do grades at the elementary level at all, in any
subject. It does not feel real to me. It has an arbitrariness to it that gets
my goat.
