Linda,

I like your idea of "look" books.  It sounds like it works and I am going to 
try that next year.  I found Ellin's thoughts on levels very interesting, and I 
do see her point.  We have some teachers very fixed on only having "just right" 
books all the time.  I think challenging books in the book boxes are good, 
especially if it is something that is highly interesting to the student.  I 
think Debbie Miller talked about her students picking some challenging books 
and she tried not to discourage them, just helped them get through it.
