SemBioSys Genetics Inc. is a Calgary based biotechnology company
focused on the development of natural oilbody based products and
recombinant proteins for pharmaceutical, nutraceutical and
cosmeceutical applications. As a result of recent investment
funding, SemBioSys Genetics is building a new research and
business facility and expanding its research teams. We are
currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join a
multidisciplinary team of scientists and business professionals
in a dynamic commercial research and development environment.

MOLECULAR BIOLOGIST - RESEARCH ASSOCIATE (Job #04/00)
The successful candidate will work as part of a group to develop
and optimize the production of proteins in plants. The specific
project will involve constructing DNA expression vectors to
optimize protein expression and production yield.
Requirements:
M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Molecular Biology or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of related work experience.
Expertise in DNA manipulations including designing cloning
strategies, DNA preparation, PCR, cloning, etc. is essential.
Experience in the assembly and optimization of expression vector
construction is preferred.
Knowledge of DNA and Protein analysis software.
Experience with plant systems would be an asset, but not
necessary for consideration.
Successful candidates will be team players with excellent
communication, organization, computer and writing skills. Salary
will be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and
