But... you already use "gh" and "ie" digraphs to represent these letters of the
alphabet, and if you have any software capable of processing the data, then it must be
possible. Changing from the digraphs in current use to some other single character
would invalidate all existing data in the Maltese language, cause more problems with
interchange of Maltese data between Unicode & ASCII, and confuse everyone who deals
with the language.
