Thought we'd gone off-list there for a moment.
In spite of the poor code page handling, Google is a
great search engine, and is one of my first choices
for searching. One of the attractions is that their
organization does make the effort to index many
pages in various scripts from around the world
(even if they don't always display well in the site
summary text). This means that it's usually possible
to find even obscure information fairly quickly there.
