In Chinese, I think 100 is 一百 ("one hundred"), whereas in Japanese 100 is just 
百 ("hundred"). And in Japanese, zeros are not used when writing numbers a 
certain way: 205 is 二百五, not 二百零五, although it can be 二〇五.

This is why to me the HTML option "number the list in Han numerals" is humorous.
