IUCs are publicised within a few weeks of the dates being fixed. As far
as IUC19 is concerned, the Web site:

has been live for many months. I don't recall the date when it went
live, but I think it was in late December or early January. What I do
know, is when the Calls for Papers went out:
IUC19 CfP #1 : 2001-03-05
IUC19 CfP #2 : 2001-03-31
IUC19 CfP #3 : 2001-05-01
These CfPs included the event dates. The extra day (2001-09-14) was
added at the abstract review meeting on 2001-05-25, in the light of the
large number of high-quality submissions.

Note that both of the above pages are wrong regarding the IUC20
end-date. A few days ago, we decided to extend the event by one day,
