One of the questions asked most frequently is whether Unicode encodes some
particular language. As most of you know, Unicode doesn't encode
"languages", it encodes scripts. But the thing people often most want to
know is whether their language, or some other language, can be represented.
The answer usually comes to whether or not the script used by that language
is encoded.

To date we have had no web page that attempted to list languages and the
scripts that cover them. An exhaustive list is a huge undertaking, so we
have not tried to list absolutely everything, but this covers a great many
languages and scripts:

Discussion and comment is welcome here on the Unicode mail list, or you may
send comments to "[EMAIL PROTECTED]", with the subject "Language/Script
list".
