The locale choice covers all of Unicode; the choice of 1033 just means that the standard collation table is going to be used, with no specific "exceptions" that many other languages require.
More info on collation in SQL Server can be found in the following white paper (it discusses 7.0 as well): http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinfo/development/2000/intfeatures.asp MichKa Michael Kaplan Trigeminal Software, Inc. http://www.trigeminal.com/ ----- Original Message ----- From: "Magda Danish (Unicode)" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 9:59 AM Subject: FW: Unicode locale id > > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] > Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2001 7:40 AM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Unicode locale id > > > Help Help !!!! > > Im going to install an MSSql-server ver. 7.0 and the unicode locale id has to have an config_value 1033, so can inform me about the settings of sortorder and language_code. > > If you have a solution of me problem, plese write to me > on e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Best regards > > Bent Herlevsen > > >
