And, it's not just those millions of CJK users to contend with, there are probably internet user communities, like the "e-truscans", consisting of a mere handful of members. Seriously, members of many linguistic communities may have a need to exchange information involving musical notation. Math alphabets are not only used along with many languages, but across several sciences, as well. The SMP isn't just for dead languages, some scripts in modern use may well end up encoded there. Even for the dead scripts, there are scholars, enthusiasts, antiquarians, and students of various disciplines who would enjoy the ability to store, exchange, and display information consistently.
