The Japanese schooling systems assigns each kanji to a certain "grade", which corresponds to the age when children are supposed to learn that kanji.
Does education in Chinese-speaking countries use a similar organization? Where could I find list of Chinese characters divided by "grades" in electronic format? Thanks in advance. _ Marco
