There is a new version of the draft TR#29 Text Boundaries, which incorporates feedback from the UTC. The document is at http://www.unicode.org/reports/tr29/.
The document is still in draft status to allow ample time for feedback and modification; the goal of the UTC is to have it be a UAX for Unicode 4.0. (Note: draft TRs may be updated, replaced, or superseded by other documents at any time. They are not stable documents; it is inappropriate to cite them as other than works in progress.) Please review the document. If you have any feedback, please send it to me before the next UTC meeting (Nov 5th), or prepare a document on your own for that meeting. The modifications in this version are: - Removal of two open issues, resolved by UTC - Changed name of 'character class' to 'property value' for consistency - Other_Grapheme_Extend now includes characters for canonical closure - Minor changes to some other property values - Some additional notes on tailoring words for French, Italian, and Hebrew - Added Testing section - Minor editing Mark __________________________________ http://www.macchiato.com ► “Eppur si muove” ◄
