Nor does the document explain what is meant by "Extension C" - I assume that
this means "CJK Unified Ideographs Extension C", but this may not be obvious to everyone.
It will be to WG2 and the UTC.

New text on the Roadmap for the SIP:

NOTE: Should Plane 2, the SIP (Supplementary Ideographic Plane) prove insufficient for future Han character encoding, it is anticipated that further allocations may be provided on Plane 3, which could be called the AIP (Auxiliary Ideographic Plane).

Obviously if WG2 chooses another name and acronym it will be applied to the (informative) Roadmaps.
