Can anyone tell me what languages U+0224 and U+0225 are intended for, or what legacy charsets they came from?
LtnZHook_curled is used in Old and/or Middle High German.
The other one has a capital I have not seen before, but is an IPA form for writing palatalized z as in Russian zemlja. It would not be suitable for use with medieval German.
They are distinct characters. -- Michael Everson * * Everson Typography * * http://www.evertype.com
