In n2586.pdf I notice the following phrase.

"ferrous iron sulphate"

This appears to be a tautology.

The metal iron when in metal salts can sometimes be ferrous (tendency to pale green colour) or ferric (tendency to brown colour).

There is a salt named ferrous sulphate. The word ferrous implies that it must be iron, yet gives more information about the chemistry. So, given the use of the word ferrous one would not use the word iron.

The Swedish is "ferrohydrosulfat", so my use of "iron" is an error on my part. Ferrous hydrosulphate, I guess it is.
