Then use a slashed zero (<DIGIT ZERO, COMBINING LONG SOLIDUS OVERLAY>;
which seems to be the glyph for which is actually used in print,
and the problem is solved!

(Remember that the empty set symbol really was an O with stroke,
originally!)
