I see a lot of garbage characters in the unicode digest.
Is this a problem with my mailer, or the unicode digest program?
With the digest. A MIME digest would not do this but I don't think the list provides that option. The only way to read UTF-8 posted to the list is to set individual messages. Mail will have no problem with them if they are properly formatted.
