I know this has been asked and answered before, but I cannot find any
reference to it now that I need the answer.

Unicode, or also otherwise encoded files in Internet Explorer display with
glyphs taken from fonts in a certain order. I.e., Arabic may not be
displaying with the font specified for Arabic, but with those from a Latin
font if it has Arabic; Chinese pages usually display with a mixture of serif
and sansserif fonts since (I think) it first displays Japanese characters,
and only graps the Chinese specified font for missing characters.

Where can I read more about this issue?
