Why the general Category of U+0482 : CYRILLIC THOUSANDS SIGN is So [Symbol, Other] while the apparently equivalent characters in the U+2160 - U+2183 range are rather Nl [Number, Letter].
Granted that U+0482 is not a letter, but IMHO it should at least be No [Number, Other] -- "So" puts it in the same category as a dingbat (no disrespect to dingbats implied). -- ____.
