Hi Bill,

Thanks a lot for your response.well, I think I should have explained a little more in my previous post.my project involves work for an embedded device and is not using windows platform . so I need to do the thai implementation from scrach in my operating system.

Secondly, we would be using unicode encoding but inorder to check the input I think the paper is the best resourse or should I follow some resource.

Things like which character are legal to make a combination character etc are well documented in the paper so we thought of following this paper.

What I wanted to make sure was that I hope rules mentioned in the paper are correct .

What do you say?

Nitin,

Have you considered simply using Unicode encoding and the standard Windows
input methods already established for Thai?
The paper you refer to was written in 1992. Things have progressed along
considerably since then, and this paper refers to the national encoding
standard instead of using Unicode.

If you simply want to have an existing application presented in Thai, and
accept input strings in Thai, then there are much easier ways to do so than
this quite complex coding exercise you have planned.
