Thanks. So, names were frozen in Unicode 2.0. Earlier changes, e.g. to make it compatible with ISO 10646, was in pre-history. For example, "LATIN SMALL LETTER BARRED LAMBDA" was changed to "LATIN SMALL LETTER LAMBDA WITH STROKE", presumably before it was frozen.
