Dictionaries have all sorts of interesting conventions. Not all characters needed for such conventions have been encoded - despite solid evidence for their use having been presented to the committee.Thank you; I haven't seen that particular dingbat used before and thought that it might have an established meaning, e.g. like in dictionaries where various symbols separate idiomatic (◊) or erroneous (¶) uses.
