Erich Gamma and Kent Beck started systematizing unit testing in Java with JUnit <http://www.junit.org> Then along came CppUnit for testing C++ <http://CppUnit.sourceforge.net> And then there was VBUnit for testing a proprietary language whose ancestors hailed from Dartmouth <http://www.vbunit.org>
