Frank spoke rightly that tables are often used for dynamic records.
In Unicon there is another option, a function named constructor()
that creates a new record type on the fly. Try:
p := constructor("myrecordtype", "field1", "field2", ...)
r := p("a",1)
write (r.field1)
...
